Discreetly restored printed soft cover (Devauchelle). Slight stains, fold marks, losses to the caps. Interior good. Some pale foxing (see photos above).

Biographical introduction of 13 pp. by Georges Lecocq. Text of the address of Gracchus Babeuf (27 pp.) of 12 brumaire year III (November 1794) on the role of popular societies .

The faux-tire page presents the work as the 1st volume of a collection entitled "Revolutionary studies published by Georges Lecocq" - it also seems to be the only one.
Lecocq , a historian specializing in Picardy and the Revolution, will publish the same year with Derenne a work entitled "La police de sécurité sous la Révolution". He had already published in 1881 with Charavay "The storming of the Bastille and its anniversaries according to unpublished documents".
