Edition limited to 1026 copies, this one of 700 on cream vellum (unnumbered), after 26 reserved for the author and 300 on handmade paper. Uncut. Soft cover folded under crystal paper . Slightly yellowed top cap. Front cover slightly creased. Excellent interior, despite some rare and very slight foxing mainly affecting the cover pages (see photos above).
Rare and elegant edition of this collection of cocktails written by the bartender of the Ritz. It begins with an ode to the Ritz bar (and its bartender, Frank) by J. Ainsworth Th. Morgan, and continues with recipes for 300 cocktails and mixed drinks, profusely illustrated, including several maps of wine regions and splendid wood engraved at the top of the chapters (monogrammed SR). The book ends with twenty pages of alcohol advertising. All the pages are framed by a red frieze showing the author's initials in Greek style.
