This is the version orchestrated in 1872 by Bizet of the suite he had composed in 1871 for piano four hands.
Pressing test discs from the private collection of Roger Désormière. Orange label reserved for 'Samples' . Decca marketed under the numbers K 1845/6 two discs grouping together pieces 2, 3, 6, 9, 10. This recording made in London, Kingsway Hall, on May 1, 1947 includes pieces 1 to 4 (2 unpublished, apparently he). Discs in perfect condition (see photos above).
