Paris, Lavigne, 1835. In-8° (13 x 20.5 cm.). Frontispiece (portrait of the author by Bertonnier) + 476 pp. + 1 f. + 7 plates out of text by Cobould. Period binding in full speckled brown glazed calfskin in the style of Simier. Smooth spine adorned with a cold 'cathedral' motif enhanced with gilding. Gold title. Boards framed with a double gilt fillet framing blind motifs enhanced with gilding. All golden edges. Inner lace and on the cuts. Corners, caps and covers slightly rubbed (small lack on the lower cap). Small scratches. Foxing. Some missing snakes (see photos above).
